RadNet’s subsidiary DeepHealth has concluded the $103m acquisition of iCAD, which was announced in April.
The move enhances DeepHealth’s goal to address the clinical and operational difficulties encountered in screening and diagnosis.
The integration combines iCAD’s commercial, technological and regulatory expertise with DeepHealth’s focus on leveraging AI and imaging to improve healthcare outcomes.
iCAD’s AI portfolio, which encompasses breast cancer identification, risk assessment, breast density, and breast arterial calcification evaluation, is utilised in more than 50 nations.
The merger of compatible technologies and datasets is expected to improve the performance of AI models, providing a range of AI-driven image interpretation and workflow tools that meet the practical clinical requirements throughout the cancer screening and detection process.
Additionally, the acquisition grants DeepHealth access to iCAD’s network of more than 1,500 healthcare provider locations worldwide.
